My roof was old and had a lot of damage. I saw an ad for DeSalvo and gave them a call. I'm so glad I did. The experience was excellent. They did a fine job at a fair price. I called James P. from Desalvos to get an estimate on replacing my roof. When James arrived, he took a look at things and started discussing his plan. He was extremely thorough with explaining the process, the supplies, scope of work and answer ALL of my questions without having to ask. He continued to communicate with me as weather approached. The day the work started, James arrived with his full crew. They were quick, clean and efficient with the work! I had James include reroofing the garage and gazebo. Everything was done in one day. Start to finish amazing job by James and his team, came out for an estimate and had it over to me same day. I recently had my roof replaced by Peter DeSalvo contracting and I was 100% satisfied with my experience. Right off the bat, James is the man. He’s honest, knowledgeable and he followed through on everything he said he would do. Him and his crew did an awesome job and the project didn’t cost a dime over what he quoted me. They worked fast, clean and the roof looks great. I definitely recommend these guys. Great workmanship and great company.

I obtained three quotes for a roof replacement on our home located
on the Seacoast. James of Peter Desalvo Roofing reached out within 24 hours to schedule a time to meet to view the roof and provide a quote.

James was timely, professional and answered all of my questions. A detailed quote was provided via email that same day and was about 12% less for identical products/roof replacement. Of note, and unlike the other two roofing companies, Desalvo Roofing does NOT require any payment or deposit up front.

We accepted the Desalvo quote and James was able to accommodate our request to get the roof completed before the end of October.

The crew showed up as scheduled and was a well oiled machine. Time was taken to cover shrubbery and plants to minimize damage. James was onsite for the duration of the project and answered all of the questions that arose.

We are very happy with the quality of the job completed by Desalvo Roofing and would highly recommend them.

Peter Desalvo was great to deal with! He did what he said he would do and went above with extra things that were needed. I can tell you that the crew that works for him were excellent. They came in and worked and the cleanup was fantastic.

Roofing team works very hard and roof looks great. A few recommendations:

1. Supervisor stay onsite for entire job to ensure directions are followed completely.
2. Put rags in downspouts for gutters to ensure no debris or nails go into downspouts. Some downspouts go directly into a drain pipe in the ground and this can become a real issue. Not able to recover debris or nails from one of my downspouts.
3. Blow debris from roof to an area away from pools and decks.
4. Make sure to fully review the job agreement details with the customer.
5. Lay tarps in attic to catch nails and debris. Had a 6 penny nail used for the temp tether puncture an HVAC hose.
6. Always use the knee cushions to avoid boot damage to new shingles.
7. Cover deck chairs and such to avoid tar material from getting on surfaces.

Peter Desalvo Contracting did a great job replacing my roof and skylights. James was very responsive, answered all my questions, set expectations, and was on-site while work was being performed. Overall very satisfied with Peter Desalvo Contracting!

DeSalvo Contracting install a new roof at my house in Merrimack. As promised, the work was completed in one day. The crew worked hard and was neat, making sure all debris was removed from my yard. I would use their services again. They were a pleasure to work with!

I called Peter DeSalvo Contracting because my roof looked like it had survived a bar fight and lost. I expected delays, excuses, and a crew that smelled like motor oil and regret. Instead, what showed up was a battalion of roofing assassins who handled their business so cleanly, I almost felt like I should be paying rent.

They stripped that roof like it owed them money—fast, focused, and with zero mercy. If efficiency were an Olympic sport, these guys would be doping—because no one should be this good without cheating. And the best part? They didn’t leave a single nail behind. Not even my ex was that clean on the way out.

Peter, the man himself, walks that perfect line between dad-joke energy and mafia-level confidence. He doesn’t oversell or B.S. you—he just looks at your mess of a roof, gives a small nod like a hitman about to make a problem disappear, and then gets it done. I called DeSalvo for a quote on a new roof and received prompt and accurate pricing. James came out, flew his drone and provided a quote with photos of my existing roof. Scheduling was simple and he and his crew arrived when scheduled. During the install, areas of concern were discussed and a plan was set in place to remedy the issues. They were in and out in one day, and very clean. When finished, James provides a photo album of the work completed. I would gladly recommend DeSalvo for all of your roofing needs.

We lost a few shingles during a recent wind storm. James from DeSalvo Contracting was quick to respond and had a ready solution. Within a week, James and crew were on the job. The area around the missing shingles was cleaned up and new shingles nailed in place that were a very close color match to our 13 year old roof. We are very pleased with the service and the cost of the repair. 5 stars!!

After having three roofing companies provide an estimate I was most impressed with the time James Psomiades took to go over options, including gutters which we were also interested in having replaced. DeSalvo Contracting was NOT the least expensive of our options but we made the right decision in contracting them to take care of our roofing and gutter needs. Courteous, professional, attentive, always checking in, working us into the schedule then having to work around rain dates (which no one can control) our roof was completed easily in the timeframe we had hoped. True to their word, they provided not only what was agreed upon in our contract but I came home to discover they had re-roofed a very small shed roof (tiny but still not in the contract) because in Jame's words "I couldn't not take care of that for you too, it would have stuck out, it would have bothered me to leave it that way." That commitment to "do the right thing" as well as their skill in roofing is encouraging in this day of corporate franchises in home improvements. I had a tree fall thru my roof, thru attic and into my newborns room. James from DeSalvo cane over the next day yo look at the damage. He was very upfront and honest. He gave me options and even told me there are people that could repair my roof if need too, but due to age and it being a double shingle already, i was better off replacing the roof. He gave me a great price, awesome warranty. Not only that but they were here only 3 says later to replace my roof with the shingle I wanted. Then his crew were prompt, on time. They were incredibly courteous of my property, neat, they did an awesome job and they left my yard cleaner than it was when they arrived. I wouldnt have anyone else from this point touch my roof.

I needed a roof inspection, James came out promptly to take look and didn’t even charge me. He gave me his expert opinion on the current condition of the roof and gave me advice on what the best products to use for a long lasting quality roof installation. I have so many positive things to say about DeSalvo Contractors! My approach was to interview 5 roofing contractors and then make a decision. All that I interviewed had ratings of 4.5-5 stars on Google. I had 4 lengthy, hard-sell meetings between Friday and Monday; all seemed knowledgeable, very competent, offered 20 year warranty, and were ready to start in a couple of weeks ~we were simply awaiting estimates. Importantly those hard-sell interviews lasted 2-3 hours each -they were interminable!!!! The process was exhausting! Given that they all seemed knowledge and very competent, I considered canceling the meeting with James of DeSalvo Contracting which I had scheduled for Tuesday. I am beyond glad that I did not cancel!!!

This is how it went -James shows up on time, surveilles the roof by drone and gets up on roof to assess areas of concern. He shows me the roof and discusses in honest, clear terms, his concerns. He shows me the various products, i.e. underlayment, different grades of shingles, edging, and various other options; he does this very efficiently, and with great confidence about our situation, and let me tell you it's a big house with "lots of situation....!" He's clear and concise.

DeSalvo Contractors quote came in at 30-40% less than the nearest competitor! Very importantly, the other contractors all said our wood base which is under the shingles, would need replacing. James assessed the underneath of eaves to view the boards - he said "I really think we're going to be fine not replacing all these boards, maybe a few, but the worst cast would be $3500 (All the other contractors said we'd need to replace them and the cost would be $5000-$6500)." One of the other contractors actually peeked under eaves as James did, and still said the boards would all needed replacing. Only one of the boards actually needed replacing -you decide what was going on there?! Oh, and yes, DeSalvo offered a 50 year warranty with the shingles we ordered with an assurance should DeSalvo Contractors no longer be in this particular line of work, a secondary insurance would be covering in the event of an issue down the road.

The DeSalvo crew was hired! They arrived on time and came in on budget -not a penny more. James was here at 7AM the day of the roof replacement, remained here 90% of the day with this incredibly efficient, talented, and professional crew! He often engaged with the crew evaluating their work by drone, and directed specifics with his significant knowledge base!! The work and cleanup were done by 6PM! I've reached out to James a few times following the job to ask him some questions, etc.... guess what, he actually took all my calls and answered every question. There was no disappearing act following the payment of the bill.

We could not be happier!!! James is amazing and he is the epitome of professional. We most HIGHLY RECOMMEND DeSalvo Contractors! I am a discerning customer and am just thrilled that I did not cancel that 5th interview! I only wish I had started with James -it would have been GAME ON!!

Peter DeSalvo Contracting did a great job on the roof at the Nesmith Library, Windham, NH. They were very clean and professional. We were open to the public the entire time that they worked with no inconvenience to our customers due to the care that they took with this project.

James took initiative and moved forward the repair day in order to avoid a snowstorm scheduled on the original date which would have prolonged the roof leak. Had Desalvo Contracting install a Roof on my house and Garage and they did everything they said they would due.delivery materials one day install the roof the next day and picked up the dumpster all at a fair price.
There was maybe 10 workers that never stopped until the job was done shocked it got done in one day.

James will also be the person who will stay onsite to see the project through. Another major decision factor is Peter DeSalvo Contracting LLC is Shingle Master certified by CertainTeed which is the brand I am intend to use. Our project is finished on 7/22/2024. We are pretty satisfied the turnout. Therefore we immediately sign on another roof project with James.

Phenomenal experience all around! Our roof was leaking for quite some time and Jimmy was able to come and give us an estimate ASAP. We signed the contract on Friday and our roof was done by the end of the day on Monday! Very competitive pricing (best price we found after many estimates). They were super professional and had it done in 1 day which was crazy to me! Jimmy was very helpful in explaining the process and making sure there would be no future issues. Will absolutely call them with any other needs!

James was able to provide an initial estimate based on satellite photos of our property and some weeks later came out to the property to assess the roof, both inside and out, confirming the estimate. His drone photography was helpful in showing particular trouble spots and defects on the old roof. James was able to pull the necessary permits and schedule the job within a matter of weeks. He mobilized an expanded crew so the job was completed in one day, right before the holidays and before winter storms began to hit the area. The crew was fast, efficient, pleasant, and did a great cleanup.

We have had some roof issues over the past few years with leaks in a small section of our house that covers an exterior deck. That drove us to call contractors to try and repair this issue. Given that we had other issue (the age of the roof, A sky light that needed to replace, etc. etc.) we decided to do the entire job and not have to worry about roof issue over the next few years. We got 4 estimates that were all in a range that we did not expect but then again, we haven’t done this type of project ever. One of our estimates was from James Psomiades at DeSalvo Contracting. DeSalvo was not the least expensive quote we got but we decided to go with them for the following reasons.
• James earned our trust right off the bat, he was very knowledgeable, timely and most importantly did what he said he is going to do during the quoting process!
• I read in a previous post that James was a very good communicator and kept in touch with customers regularly keeping everyone on the same page. I could not agree more with this comment!
• The trust in James and the excellent communication continued post accepting the quote and scheduling the Job.
The Job itself – The team showed up on time, set up protection for the house and our landscape the best that anyone could have for this type of job. James inspected the prep work and adjusted as required. The crew was fast, efficient, friendly, respectful, and very well coordinated. There was constant cleaning of debris, While the place looked like a war zone for periods of time this is unavoidable for this type of project.
DeSalvo and hopefully James will be my first call for any future major home projects.

Back in April, my wife and I hired Peter DeSalvo Contracting to replace the room and the 3 skylights in our 3-season room. Peter and his crew did a great job. We then hired him again to replace some old broken vinyl siding around the house and to add a section of gutters. All the work by him and his crew were done well. Peter was frequently on site to supervise the work (and sometimes helping to do the work himself) and make sure everything was done well and safely. Peter was easy to talk to and work with (was always prompt to return messages), uses good materials, offered great service at very reasonable prices (we did look at other contractors), and we really got the impression he cared about the quality of work done. Overall, we are very satisfied with our purchase and we highly recommend giving Peter and his team a chance to earn your business.

It was done on time, perfectly . When they left the jobsite was so clean that I never knew they were there.

We had Peter's crew provide us with teh demolition of old roof and new shingle and rubber roofing, flashings and also had them replace some of the eave trim. They did a nice job, they were clean, cleaned up after the demo and we were very happy with their service. I will use them again on another property we have.

After DeSalvo Contracting did my roof there was a wild windstorm a few weeks later and a couple of the shingles blew off. I called JP about the issue, he had Sean and his crew on it the next day and repaired what had blown off.
As always they were extremely professional and courteous.
They were there for just a couple of hours.
I was very pleased with their prompt attention to the problem.

Rapid Manufacturing contracted with DeSalvo contracting to pour vibration isolation pads for a number of new machines. We were able to work with Peter to schedule and execute the work during off shifts as the pads were located adjacent to equipment that is in production. His crew arrived on-time and when there was an issue resolved it with a sense of urgency. I recommend his work.
